Yone Ansell

This scholarship has taken away my financial stress which allows me to concentrate on my studies here at UWA.

Yone Ansell, inaugural recipient of the Alumni Fund University Hall Residential Scholarship

Yone Ansell is studying at UWA, thanks to donations from our graduates and friends. Now, Yone is able to pursue her educational dreams undertaking an intensive engineering/physics double major.

Growing up outside Darwin, Yone completed specialist mathematics by computer linkup.

“When I applied for a course at UWA, I only had enough money to guarantee one year’s accommodation on campus. This scholarship has allowed me to focus on studies, without the stress of worrying about accommodation fees,” said Yone.

The residential scholarship has also provided Yone with the opportunity to meet new people.

“At Uni Hall, I have met so many new people from other countries, states and local rural towns. I have learnt so much from them which is broadening my knowledge of different cultures and ways of life”.
