For fifty years, our Master of Business Administration (MBA) has shaped leaders and contributed to the development of business, government and community across Western Australia and beyond. It has been a defining experience for generations of professionals, equipping them with the judgement, confidence and perspective to lead in complex and changing environments.
This milestone represents not only longevity, but the enduring impact of a program that has continuously evolved alongside the changing nature of leadership. The MBA’s impact is reflected in the organisations built, the policies shaped, and the connected, engaged alumni community whose influence spans industries, sectors and geographies.
For much of this journey, the MBA has been strengthened by its longstanding partnership with the Graduate Management Association (GMA), whose role in fostering connection, engagement and professional development has helped shape the broader UWA MBA community over five decades.
“Celebrating 50 years of the UWA MBA is really about celebrating the community behind it. Our graduates don’t just complete an MBA – they remain connected, continuing to learn and engage with the program, each other and the University long after graduation. That ongoing connection has shaped the MBA for five decades and continues to guide its future.”
— Professor Allan Trench (MBA Director)
The MBA 50th Anniversary Future Leadership Appeal celebrates this shared legacy while ensuring future generations of leaders access the same transformative experience. This opportunity focuses on three key priorities that will shape the future of the program:
MBA Future Leadership Fund, developed in partnership with the GMA, to support the ongoing strength of the MBA, and its business community, enabling industry engagement, stronger professional networks, and leadership development beyond the program.
MBA 50th Scholarship Fund to ensure leadership potential is never limited by financial barriers—so that the MBA attracts diverse talent and all with the capacity to lead with impact, integrity and purpose.
UWA MBA Endowed Chair to establish a permanent investment in academic leadership, enabling the University to attract and sustain exceptional scholars whose influence will shape the direction of the program and inspire generations of students. To discuss your interest in supporting the UWA MBA Endowed Chair, please contact our team directly via email at development@uwa.edu.au
We invite our alumni and partners to mark this milestone by contributing to the MBA 50th Anniversary Future Leadership campaign and helping shape what comes next.
Every contribution helps ensure the UWA MBA continues to develop capable, ethical and globally minded leaders, strengthen organisations and communities, and contribute to the long-term prosperity and wellbeing of society.
