For over 60 years, the Reid Library has been a cornerstone of curiosity at UWA, fostering learning, connection, and the preservation of wisdom, stories, and discoveries from generations past.

The recent refurbishment of the Reid Library has reimagined the space to prioritise connection and the student experience. The contemporary design of Reid Library features a ‘Reading Wall,’ which contains the Australian Literature collection and provides display opportunities. Donors who commit $1,000 or more will be recognised with a commemorative shelf on the wall. This initiative will spark curiosity, inviting staff, students, and the community to engage, debate, and explore the richness of the Library’s collections and spaces.

Bringing History to Life

UWA Convocation invites you join their collective giving appeal to fund the Library’s Creator-in-Residence program. This initiative will bring the Library spaces and collections to life for new audiences.

The program will invite a creative, for example an artist, writer, scholar, or musician – to use the Library spaces or collections to inspire them. They will be asked to produce a creative work – which could be a range of immersive experiences such as an artwork, a scholarly lecture, or an exhibition.

Be Part of the Story

To bring the Creator-in-Residence program to life and unlock the potential of this space, we need your help.

With your support, we aim to raise $100,000 to establish and fund this initiative for generations to benefit from. Contributions will go towards running the program.

Funds may help enable any public exhibitions and events to showcase the Creator-in-Residence’s work, providing opportunities for the wider community to share in the journey.

Every gift, no matter the size, brings this vision closer to reality – give today and help us reach $100,000.

Let’s ensure the UWA Library is celebrated and act as a source of inspiration for the future. May the advancement of knowledge continue on...

Donations of $1,000 or more will be recognised on a commemorative shelf. Only 100 opportunities available.
