SOS: COVID-19 Emergency Appeal

Students facing hardship are among the most at-risk in today’s global crisis.

At UWA, we are committed to helping all of our students through the COVID-19 crisis. We know many of our domestic and international students are experiencing enormous challenges due to the loss of income and many other difficult circumstances.

In response, we have partnered with Convocation and the Student Guild to join with all our alumni and friends to reach every student in need to provide immediate relief. This includes emergency accommodation costs, wellbeing and emotional support, IT equipment and the delivery of welfare packs by staff and volunteers.

With much of the initial student crisis funding generated from philanthropy, the University extends its gratitude to our generous donors, both past and present, for their support. 

Now we need your help to extend the reach to all affected students and give them the support they so desperately need.

Ways you can help

By donating today, you can support:

• $100

  = 3x student welfare packs

  Provide welfare packs to vulnerable students for immediate food relief and access to household essentials, including those living in remote and regional areas.

• $500

  = remote study technology support

  Help disadvantaged students overcome barriers to learning by providing technology support. Laptops and 4G dongles will be given to students without internet access.

• $1,000

  = emergency accommodation assistance

  Give financial relief to students facing unexpected accommodation costs, some without a home or forced apart from family and friends.
